Located at the foot of Kilimanjaro, Amboseli is one of the most beautiful parks in Kenya. It offers superb landscapes with its immense marshy plains fed by the snows of Kilimanjaro and an exceptional fauna, easily visible: elephants, lions, wildebeest, zebras, antelopes and  buffaloes. The name Amboseli comes from a Maasai word meaning “Salty Dust”.

Lake Naivasha National Park is located in the raising part of the great Rift Valley flow. The park is centred in the fresh water Lake.

What is Lake Naivasha famous for?

Lake Naivasha is famous for its strong populations of Hippos and various types of  aquatic birds. There are over 1,500 hippos in the area and you are almost guaranteed to see one. The lake is a birder’s paradise as its home to over 400 bird species.

The park name is derived from the maasai word “Naiposha” which means rough water. 

Lake Nakuru National Park is found on the floor of the great Rift Valley, sorrounded by wooded and bushy grassland. It is a habitat to over 100 endangered Rhinos distributed between the Black and White Rhinos. The park is also home to the endagered rothschild’s giraffe. And other 50 or more animal species that include; buffaloes, waterbucks, lions, Impala’s and man more.

The lake is also rich in aquatic birds eg flamingoes and many more.
